Get an estimate
Name, number, suburb and roughly what you need. Matt will text you back. For a bigger job there is a longer form on the estimate page.
What we cut at a place like yours
Most of it is a morning. Some of it is an hour. Ask about the small thing, because it is usually the small thing that has stopped everything else.
Driveways and expansion cuts
Cut on the day of the pour so the concrete cracks where we put the line rather than across the middle of your new drive.
Decorative cuts from 20 mm wide
A patterned or tiled look for a patio, a pool surround or an outdoor area, cut to whatever grid suits the space. Grouted or stained afterwards, it stops looking like a slab.
Doorway and window openings
A new opening cut out of a concrete, block or stone wall, with the room sheeted up first and the section lifted out rather than dropped.
Core holes for services
Holes through walls and floors for plumbing, wiring, a heat pump, a range hood or an extraction fan. Through brick and masonry as well as concrete.
Paths and slab removal
Old paths, aprons and slabs cut into liftable pieces, broken out and carted away, so the area is a blank canvas rather than a pile of rubble.
Pumping for tight access pours
A line pump that runs up to 100 metres of hose through a gate or around the side of the house, for the pours a truck cannot reach.
Speed, quality, compliance. In that order at a house.
-
Speed
Speed is key. We do not waste time on site, and we always turn up when we say we will.
-
Quality
Cut straight, cut once. From small jobs to $60 million projects, we perform at the highest standard.
-
Compliance
Dust extracted at the blade, health monitoring on the operator, and the paperwork in your hand before we start.
A plain pad, turned into a tiled look
Same slab, three photographs, one visit. Decorative cuts are set out with you before anything is cut, because the grid is the whole job.
Jobs we can show you
Photographed on site and posted at the time, because a cut is easier to look at than to describe.
20 mm decorative cuts in a patio area
A plain outdoor pad turned into a tiled look, cut 20 mm wide to take a darker grout, set out and cut in one visit.
Attic window cut through 400 mm heritage stone
A new attic window and lintel slot cut through 400 mm of heritage stone, with the interior protected from water and debris throughout.
What homeowners ask us
Do you do small jobs?
Yes. Small jobs are most of our residential week and we would far rather do the small one than turn it away. It is also how a good share of the bigger work finds us.
How soon can you come?
It depends on what is already booked, and we will tell you straight away rather than string you along. Ring or text Matt, and if it is a soft cut on a fresh pour, tell us when the concrete is going down.
Will it make a mess?
There is dust and slurry while we are cutting, and it does not stay. Dust goes into a vac at the blade, slurry is vacuumed up and carted away, and the area is washed and swept before we leave. Yes we made a mess, yes we cleaned it up.
Do I need to be home?
Usually not. As long as we can get to the slab and we have agreed where the cuts go, you can be at work. Tell us about gates, dogs, and where the power and the tap are.
What will it cost?
Tell us what you need and where you are and we will text you an estimate the same day. That is quicker than getting three people out to stand on your driveway.
Can you pump concrete for a pour behind the house?
Yes. We run a line pump that pushes concrete up to 100 metres down a hose, through a gate or around the side of a house, so the truck does not have to get anywhere near the pour.
Got a driveway, a patio or a hole that needs to go somewhere?
Send through what you need and where you are, and Matt will text you back with an estimate. If you would rather talk it through, the phone is faster and it is his own number.
