Concrete cutting in Temuka
Temuka is fifteen minutes up the road from the yard, and the run north through Orari and out towards the dairy processing site is one we make most weeks. This is the shortest page on the site, because we would rather show you two jobs we actually did near Temuka than write four paragraphs about a town.
What we have done in Temuka
Every line below is a job we posted about at the time. If it is not on this list, we have not claimed it.
-
Cut the expansion joints in a new shed floor out at Orari, ten minutes north of Temuka.
-
Contract cutting at the dairy processing site north of Timaru, on and off. No photos are allowed on that site, which is why there are none here.
-
Slab, driveway and shed floor cutting through the same builders and concreting crews who work Temuka and Timaru, since the two towns share most of them.
The three we do most in Temuka
Temuka work is mostly fresh slabs that need cutting before they crack, holes cored for services, and small pours where a truck cannot reach.
Floor and slab sawing
Expansion cuts, early entry soft cutting and full depth slab cuts. Indoors with extraction, outdoors in one visit.
What we do
Core drilling
Holes from 20 to 350 mm through reinforced walls, floors, brick and block. Extension bits when it has to go deeper.
What we do
Concrete pumping
A line pump reaches where a truck pump cannot. Tight sites, bad access and expensive pours.
What we doA job in full
Photographed on site, written up with what it took and what it shows.
Working in Temuka
How long does it take you to get to Temuka?
About fifteen minutes from our Timaru base. Temuka is close enough that it is a normal day for us, not a trip, and we do not price it as one.
Will you come out for one small job in Temuka?
Yes. Small jobs are how most of our regular work started and we will drive up for one cut or one hole. Travel and set out cost the same whatever the size, so a small job is priced for what it is.
Can you cut a fresh slab in Temuka on the day it is poured?
Yes. Early entry soft cutting has to happen in a window measured in hours, not days, so we will work around your pour rather than the other way round. That is what the 5am or 5pm line means.
The rest of the run
- Timaru Our base
- Temuka 15 min from Timaru
- Geraldine 35 min from Timaru
- Ashburton 75 min from Timaru
- Twizel 150 min from Timaru
We also work across Canterbury, North Otago and the Mackenzie. If the job is worth the drive, we will drive it.
